Lots of Pain for a Little Gain: Installing Amazon S3 Command Line Tools on CentOS 5.x
As I went to install Amazon S3 Tools onto a legacy server running CentOS 5.9 today, I was shocked — I know that I shouldn't be — at how many hoops I needed to jump through in order to get such a simple task done. So, without further ado, here are said steps, all in one convenient place so that hopefully you won't have to dig as much I did.
